Here are the main shingles symptoms to monitor for:
- Extreme pain or burning in a specific area of the body
- Tingling, numbness in a specific region of the body
- Sensitivity to touch in a specific location on the body
- Headaches that are not normal or are severe
- A rash, usually it will take at least two to three days before the rash will appear after the pain has been evident.
- Blisters will occur as part of the rash. They will fill with fluid and can break open. They will then crust over and heal. Various stages of the blisters can be seen
- Itching, uncomfortable skin feeling
- Fever and chills, can be associated with the virus, monitoring severity is important
